Common Ground, Malaysia’s coworking industry leader, today announced an exclusive partnership with The World’s Best Low Cost Airline, AirAsia, to promote business travel through AirAsia’s MyCorporate program for all Common Ground members.

AirAsia’s MyCorporate program is a business travel program targeted towards corporate travelers. The program provides business travelers additional flexibility such as complimentary flight changes, an expedited check-in and other exclusive benefits.

With this partnership, Common Ground members can enjoy attractive corporate rates on AirAsia flights in comparison to booking on the AirAsia.com website, even at the eleventh hour. As part of its offering, Common Ground members will also have access to the AirAsia Premium Red lounge while waiting for one’s flights, in which one can relax or work without compromising on productivity or comfortability. This offering is the newest of Common Ground’s many partnership amenities, and like the rest, access comes automatically just by being a Common Ground member. This new service will be accessible through Common Ground’s proprietary software and members portal, the Ambition Engine. With an emphasis on members’ convenience, all Common Ground members across all venues  can now register and access AirAsia’s MyCorporate program for all flight-related needs.

“Our partnership with AirAsia is something we’re very excited about. At Common Ground, it is our vision to provide our members with local value, local services, and local partnerships. We believe that to build any successful business in this part of the world, one needs to develop a strong foundation. In these individual and culturally different Southeast Asian and Asian markets, there is no better way to do this than to develop partnerships at a local level. Local partners who also understand your market are in the strongest position to add the value needed to push the business forward. We view our partnership with AirAsia MyCorporate as an amazing opportunity to provide a true value-add to all our members. AirAsia is a regional powerhouse with local value across Southeast Asian markets. As an airline, they have the largest number of routes to the largest number of locations across the region. This is a great chance and platform for our members to potentially expand their businesses outside of Malaysia. Not just by connecting with entrepreneurs and members across our regional venues, but by making it possible to connect our members with business opportunities across the region in any area. As a homegrown business we are expanding rapidly, not just in Malaysia, but soon across Southeast Asia, opening offices in the Philippines by the end of this month and Thailand by the end of the year.  We can now pride ourselves on being a regional company pushing regional value for all our members in Malaysia and now across Southeast Asia,” said Juhn Teo, co-founder of Common Ground.

With this partnership in place, travelers on the MyCorporate program will also be able to work across Common Ground venues located in Malaysia whenever in town for business, the same way Common Ground members will enjoy the benefits of AirAsia’s MyCorporate program. With Common Ground’s upcoming plans to launch new venues across Philippines and Thailand, travelers will also have access to the offices located in those regions. On top of growing the Common Ground community, this partnership will enable travelers to expand and amplify one’s business internationally. With all venues housing an in-house café, event space, board rooms, several meeting rooms, quiet lounges, and four formats of workspace - hot desking, fixed desking, private offices and enterprise solutions for larger organisations - Common Ground sets the ideal work environment for business travelers.

“We are very excited to collaborate with Common Ground as they are a homegrown brand that acts as a hub for many local and international business corporates and entrepreneurs, which is who AirAsia MyCorporate program is tailored for. Both homegrown businesses share the same vision of wanting to put Malaysia at the forefront of economic development. Through this partnership, we not only want to connect and grow our communities but we also seek to enable Malaysian companies to have a global footprint. Members of the MyCorporate program are able to enjoy the complementary services provided by Common Ground and AirAsia that will ease their business travel experience. With this, we strive to establish the AirAsia MyCorporate program as the top choice for corporates and SME travelers,” said Spencer Lee, AirAsia Malaysia Head of Commercial.

AirAsia is the largest airline in Malaysia by fleet size and destinations operating domestic and international flights to over 130 destinations. With a mission to attain the lowest cost so that people can travel while still providing top notch service, the airline has consistently been named as the world’s best low cost carrier for ten years in a row in Skytrax World Airline Awards.
